Alligators (鳄鱼) live in places like lakes and marshes (沼泽). But an alligator lived in a drainage pipe (下水道) in South Carolina, US, for six months. People first saw this 1.8-meter animal in the pipe in October 2023. At that time, they saw its snout (口鼻部), but they didn’t know that it was stuck until April. People finally called a wildlife company to help it get out of the pipe. The alligator looked surprisingly well. That might be because it could eat small fish in the drainage water. It could also be that the animal went into its dormant state (休眠状态) during its long stay in the pipe.
