Healthy development: On Sept 27, tourists walked through the streets of Bali, Indonesia. Earlier, on Sept 9, Indonesia announced a new plan to stop building new hotels or clubs in certain parts of Bali. According to the government, the island has been struggling with problems such as overdevelopment and a rise in crime because of overtourism (过度旅游). So it is necessary to protect Bali’s environment and help tourism grow in a healthy way. The Indonesian government hopes to start the plan in October. It may last as long as 10 years.
