A chimp to believe in: British ethologist and primatologist (灵长类动物学家) Jane Goodall took a picture with her mascot “Mister H” in Paris, France, on Oct 18. “Mister H”, a stuffed chimpanzee, was a gift from a blind magician named Gary Haun. It has accompanied Goodall for many years. Goodall treasures it as it symbolizes (象征) a spirit of never giving up, a trait she demonstrates as well. In 1960, at the age of 26, Jane went to Tanzania and discovered that chimpanzees can create and use tools. This was one of the greatest finds of the 20th century. Now, at age 90, Goodall continues to travel globally, advocating for wildlife conservation.
