Long Chao Kok is located in the southern part of Macao. It is known for its uniquely shaped “dragon’s claw rock”. Legend has it that a young dragon, after eating a heavenly peach (天上蟠桃) without permission, was punished by the Jade Emperor and sent to the human world. The dragon became trapped in a large rock, which then took on the shape of dragon claws, a head and a body.
