China’s space exploration (探索) has made history once again. On Dec 17, the Shenzhou XIX crew members (航天员乘组) ‑ Cai Xuzhe, Song Lingdong and Wang Haoze ‑ worked together to do a spacewalk. They got help from a robotic arm (机械臂) on the Tiangong space station and a team on Earth. It took Cai and Song nine hours to finish their work outside the space station. That is a new record for Chinese astronauts. The previous (之前的) record for the longest spacewalk was eight hours and 56 minutes set by US astronauts in 2001. This is a big achievement in space exploration for China and the whole world.
