Two sessions commence: On March 4, China's annual two sessions began with the opening of the third session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC National Committee), attended by over 2,100 members. They raised comments and suggestions based on thorough research and consultations to help formulate national policies. The following day, the third session of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC) opened, bringing together nearly 3,000 deputies (代表). They listened to and reviewed the Government Work Report delivered by Premier Li Qiang, which looked back at 2024 and outlined key tasks for 2025. The main goals include increasing gross domestic product (GDP, 国内生产总值) by about 5 percent and creating over 12 million new urban jobs.
