Special stone on offer: A stone from the ruins of Notre-Dame Cathedral (巴黎圣母院) was seen on March 14 in Paris, France, with the words “Rebuild Notre-Dame” written on it. Since opening again on Dec 8, 2024, the cathedral has drawn nearly 30,000 visitors per day, according to French daily newspaper Le Parisien. To support further repair efforts, France’s Heritage Foundation launched a special event on March 4. Participants can donate at least 40 euros (about 316 yuan) by April 4 for a chance to win one of 50 such stones, which were too damaged for use in reconstruction. The winners will be announced on April 15, marking the sixth anniversary of the 2019 fire. The stones cannot be sold, given away or traded later.
