On May 11, many people took part in the Space-out Competition (发呆大赛) in Seoul, South Korea. It is a yearly event to pick who is the best at doing nothing. People can’t fall asleep, check their phones or talk to others. The competition looks at people’s heart rates (心率). The one who has the most steady (平稳的) heart rate will win. The event wants to tell people that spacing out is not a waste of time. It can help you slow down and relax.
