Editor’s note: Reading is a key to knowledge, wisdom and good character (品格). This year, China introduced a new policy (政策) on Feb 1 to encourage public reading. The fourth week of April is also set as National Reading Week. The goal is to build a country where everyone keeps learning. To support this goal, we are starting a new program to show the fun and power of reading. It brings together interviews, bookcrossing (图书漂流) and community service activities. This week, we invite sci-fi writer Bao Shu to share his reading stories.
