英国动画奖(The British Animation Awards，简称BAA)近日揭晓，《僵尸新娘》（Corpse Bride）击败《酷狗宝贝：人兔的诅咒》（Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit）获得英国动画奖最佳动画故事片奖（The Best Animated Feature）。两年一届的“英国动画奖”由英国动画专家Jayne Pilling于1996年创立。该奖项分为19类，大部分由专门的评审小组来判定，其中4项由英国公众 投票来决定。

　　《僵尸新娘》讲述了一个叫维克多的男青年被引入“阴间”，并和一位僵尸新娘完婚的奇遇。

　　结婚是人生大事，中国的婚礼已十分讲究，而西方的婚礼却有过之而无不及。西方人结婚提前半年就会确定大喜之日（the big day），预约牧师（clergyman）和专业的婚礼策划人（wedding planner），购买礼服（wedding gown），挑选摄影师（photographer）和录像师（videographer），预定乐队（wedding band）， 指定婚宴承办人（caterer），选择伴郎（best man）和伴娘（bridesmaid），申请结婚证（marriage licence）等。婚礼前两天，新人将邀请少量的亲朋好友聚餐，称之为预演宴会（rehearsal dinner）。婚礼上最美丽的当然是新娘： 靓丽的婚纱，出彩的发型（hair style），别致的头饰（headpiece）和面纱（veil），有的新娘甚至会为这一天特意修剪手指甲和脚趾甲（have manicure and pedicure done）。
