Background information
Asia TEFL was established in 2002. Its goals are to promote scholarship, disseminate information, and facilitate cross-cultural understanding among persons concerned with the teaching and learning of English in Asia.
MELTA was officially formed in 1982. It aims to promote English language education in Malaysia. So far, it has got more than 1,000 members.
