IT''S supposed to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis. Its audience is estimated at about 2 billion people across seven different parts of the world. And yes, it will be here in China. This multimedia extravaganza has some of the biggest names on Earth, with more than 100 of them donating their time and music: Linkin Park and Rihanna in Japan. Snopp Dogg and Katie Melua in Germany, Jack Johnson and Crowded House in Australia. The 24-hour event will be staged on July 7, 2007 or "07-07-''07." New York, London, Hamburg, Shanghai, Tokyo, Rio De Janeiro, Johannesburg, Istanbul, and Sydney are all connected so people can watch in the comfort of their home, or wherever. Among the performers in Shanghai at the Oriental Pearl Tower will be Sarah Brightman, Eason Chan, Winnie Shin, Evonne Hsu, Huang Xiaoming, Anthony Wong, Joey Yung and the 12 Girls Band. Cool to click
