AS many as 16,000 starry-eyed couples will say “I do” on August 8 in Beijing – and then smooch in front of (hopefully) excited family and friends. All over China, in fact, lovers plan to tie the knot on the auspicious date. The Beijing government has even set up a website to streamline registration processing for locals who want a Friday wedding.
