SINGER Ring (Ding Dang) has given the Taiwan music scene a boost of confidence during a downturn in the industry.

With the 23-year-old Hangzhou native’s songs topping the KTV broadcasting and ringtone download charts in Taiwan, the songbird is now regarded as a successor to Faye Wong.
