ACCORDING to Chosun Ilbo, the English part of South Korea's College Scholastic Ability Test, the qualification test for university entrance, will be replaced by an English proficiency test from 2013. The test will be held several times a year. The questions will be picked from a database in the same way as the TOEFL and TOEIC. Scores will not be published, but everyone above a certain level will be given "qualified" status.
India promotes English medium education
印度中学采用英语作为教学媒介语言

The scheme was launched amid concern about the lack of proper trained teachers. Teachers selected for the scheme are required to interact with students in English to the extent possible.
