SOUTH Korea plans to build Busan Global Village, a new English immersion school in the country’s second largest city. Covering some 18,718 square meters, the village will accommodate up to 550 students each day and will house South Korea’s first English-only library. The village plans to hire some 90 staff members including 60 native-speaking English teachers. It is expected to open in June 2009.

THE London School of English, founded in 1912, and the oldest accredited English language training organization in the world, is stepping up preparations to enter the Indian market and is now actively seeking franchise partners in the country. All courses offered to franchisees are based on the materials and teaching methodology used by The London School of English in London, or those developed in addition for franchisee use.
