Former Nova chief faces criminal investigation

日本诺瓦英语培训机构前总裁接受警方调查


THE former president of bankrupt Nova Corp., Nozomu Sahashi, is under criminal investigation on suspicion of embezzling some 320 million yen ($3 million) from the company’s employee welfare fund. Sahashi allegedly used the money to refund tuition to students who had canceled their lessons after the school suspended part of its business last year. Sahashi was arrested on June 24.

BILINGUAL and multilingual Canadians enjoy more career options, accelerated promotion and salary increases compared to their monolingual counterparts, according to a recent poll of 1,277 Canadians by Berlitz Canada, Canada’s premier language training and cultural consulting organization. Apart from English and French, Canadians identified Spanish, Mandarin and Cantonese as being the most beneficial for career advancement.
