IF there's one thing you won't find in French TV ads, it's an American-style plea to "buy now". A new exhibition in Paris called "Forty Years of Ads on TV" displays French TV commercials from past to present. Most of the ads seem to avoid pushy marketing tactics, noted The New York Times. "That's because we have always had a very unhealthy relationship to money," Jacques Séguéla, an executive at the French advertising agency Havas, told the newspaper. "To us, money implies corruption."
