PEOPLE in Russia are being told to go on a diet – not by their lovers, but by their government. A recent report published by Russia's Federal Consumer Protection Service expressed alarm at the country's rising rates of obesity. The report, which ran in the government's Rossiskaya Gazeta newspaper, said Russians gained 2kg on average over the last 10 years. Gennady Onishchenko, head of the Federal Consumer Protection Service, believes that's two kilos too many.
