THE next time you browse the rankings of America's top universities, be aware that they're based on a flawed evaluation system. Last week, at the annual forum of the Association for Institutional Research, a Clemson University employee, Catherine Watt, said openly that her university had climbed the national rankings by walking "a fine line between illegal, unethical, and really interesting".
