AFTER months in Guangzhou, I gradually got used to the humid weather and language “from another planet”. When I take my English and my Qingdao-accented dialect into account, I'm now a girl with three languages. In the dorm, I study Cantonese with my roommates and practice the dialect at supermarkets and other public places. I speak English with all my classmates and foreign faculty members.
