Mummy (木乃伊): All you’ll need is a generous supply of toilet paper to make this instantly recognizable costume. The concept of mummies dates back thousands of years and across many cultures. Civilizations like the ancient Egyptians and the Incas of South America mummified bodies to preserve (保存) them for the afterlife. In the 1999 movie “The Mummy”, a group of scientists are horrified after they accidentally wake up an Egyptian mummy and lift its eternal (永远的) curse (诅咒). Mummies are constantly seen in books, comics and horror movies, and of course, on every Halloween night.
