IT takes a special artist to create a million-dollar painting, and it takes another to repair a damaged one. Recently, a woman studying Picasso's The Actor, at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, lost her balance and fell on the painting, making a 6-inch (15-cm) tear in the lower right corner of the canvas. The 105-year-old painting, valued at $130 million (887 million yuan), has since been moved to the museum's conservation laboratory, where it will be repaired.
