A NEW video game is sending gamers to hell – to relive the narrative of one of Western literature’s most classic works, the Inferno portion of Dante Alighieri’s three-part Divine Comedy. The classic Italian poem depicts the afterlife, as understood in the Middle Ages, when it was written. But except for fire and darkness and Lucifer himself, gamers are not finding much of the original novel in the Dante’s Inferno video game.
