LINGUISTS are coming up with all sorts of names for the kind of simplified English that is spoken in countries with different mother tongues. In China, it’s “Chinglish”. In India, it’s “Bollywood English”. In Singapore, it’s “Singlish”. A new book by Robert McCrum puts forward yet another name – “Globish”.
