STARTING from November 1, a stranger who is a census taker (人口普查员) may knock on your door to collect information for China’s sixth nationwide census. Unlike the last five population censuses, this one will include people from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, as well as foreigners that have been living in China for a long time.
