IN Germany, a new vending machine (自动售货机) outside of dance clubs offers flat “slippers” that can be worn and then thrown away. German women have had trouble in the past walking home in their hottest high heels after a long night of dancing. These slippers, at 7 euros (64 yuan) a pair, come with a bag in which to carry your heels.
