IN the midst of snowstorms, a Kent, southeastern England woman called the local emergency (紧急) number to report an unusual theft (盗窃). Her snowman was stolen. The woman is reported to have said: “I thought that with it being icy and there not being anybody about he’d be safe.” Also, the woman thought the theft was worth telling police about because she had used £1 (11 yuan) coins for its eyes and teaspoons for its arms, according to Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper. Police called the call “completely irresponsible” and are not looking into where the stolen snowman had gone.
