BIOLOGY Letters, a weekly international journal published by Britain’s Royal Society, published a paper recently on bees’ ability to recognize colors. Illustrations (插图) were done in colored pencil and the concluding line read: “We like bees. Science is cool and fun because you get to do stuff that no one has ever done before.” These particular scientists weren’t wearing lab coats; they were wearing whatever sweater Mom picked out. The report was written by a group of 8-year-olds.
