For those of you stuck in traffic jams, here’s a ray of hope: Guangzhou has won an award for its public transport system.

Guangzhou has won the Institute for Transportation and Development Policy’s (ITDP) Sustainable Transport Award for 2011, according to the National Geographic magazine.
