A COMPANY called Fargginay, Inc is marketing a new perfume (香水): bacon. The company says that, in 1920, John Fargginay, a French butcher (屠夫), invented the perfume when he noticed that the scent (香味) of bacon sent his customers crazy. Bottles of the “re-invented” perfume go for $36 (245 yuan) a bottle. Fargginay says the perfume will brighten your day with all of the good memories and feelings associated with the smell of bacon, and none of the calories.
