Germany ends era of nuclear power
Europe’s economic powerhouse, Germany, announced plans last week to abandon nuclear energy over the next 11 years.
It also outlined an ambitious strategy in the wake of Japan’s Fukushima (福岛) disaster to replace atomic power with renewable energy sources.
