OBI Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker and a group of Star Wars characters will join the Queen (女王) of England and George Washington as the faces of official (官方的) coins. The coins will be used on the Pacific Island of Niue. They are made by the New Zealand mint (铸币厂). Although each coin is only worth NZ$2 (around 11 yuan), a box of four costs NZ$469. “No one is going to buy an ice cream with them,” admitted (承认) New Zealand mint spokesman Chris Kirkness. “Traditionally, who would buy these would be coin collectors, but this product (产品) opens up the market as a gift product and for fans of Star Wars.”
