WHEN 69-year-old Milton Ellis of St. Petersburg, Florida, US, rolled his wheelchair under a shelter to escape the rain early this month, he never thought he was putting himself in danger of a real-life vampire (吸血鬼) bite. Josephine Smith, 22, sat peacefully in the shelter with Ellis until the old man dozed off (打瞌睡). Ellis was rudely awakened when Smith started biting his arms and lips, allegedly (宣称) saying: “I’m a vampire. I am going to eat you.” Smith then ran away and was later found by police. She claims to have no memory of the event and does not consider herself a vampire. Despite the vampire bites, Ellis does not appear to have become a creature of the night, either.
