A NEW law in Wisconsin, US, could have allowed citizens to carry concealed (隐藏的) firearms wherever they went – until local Roman Catholic bishops (主教) put their foot down (坚决反对) and asked Wisconsonites not to bring their guns into church. Milwaukee Wisconsin Archbishop Jerome Listecki said in a recent press release: “We ask that all people seriously consider not carrying weapons into church buildings as a sign of reverence (尊敬) for these sacred spaces.”
