NOWADAYS, many children spend a lot of time watching TV. Often they see advertisements that feature their favorite cartoon characters or fantasy (幻想) stories. Many people believe that the appeal (吸引力) of TV ads could have a negative (负面的) effect on children. They say ads will force parents to spend a lot of money on things that their children want because they have seen them on TV. They also say the ads may teach children to behave badly.
