CHINESE master pianist Lang Lang held a public class about music on April 14 in Beijing. The 29-year-old shared his skills at playing the piano in front of 1,800 people, including some children. During the one-hour class, Lang used some interesting ways to teach children about music. For example, Lang told them that Mozart’s melodies (旋律) are always changing, like the Monkey King who has 72 different forms. “Teaching children is difficult, because music is so individual (个人的),” said Lang. “You need to learn who they are before you can teach them.” 21ST
