Clash of words
The Oxford English Dictionary, one of the principal English-language dictionaries, heralds itself as “the last word on words for over a century”.
But the 155-year-old dictionary hasn’t been immune to criticism, such as of its reliance on printed language over spoken, or of its difficulty.
