US ‘plays down’ island issue on Abe’s visit

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe visited the US from Feb 21 to 22 with hopes of gaining full support from Washington for Tokyo’s position on the Diaoyu Islands and China. But it seems that the trip did not go completely as he expected.
