Judge 1: I’d like to share with you some of the benefits given to students who have special talents for sports or other extracurricular activities. In many universities, if students have these talents and they do well in an interview or on a special test, their scores in the College Entrance Examination, or gaokao, can be deducted (扣除) by like 30 to 50 points without any effect on their admission chances. Do you think that for the students who don’t have these talents, this is an unfair thing for them? Or do you think it is fair?
