While Western freshmen enjoyed their first Thanksgiving break last month, they also faced big questions in their high-school relationships. Freshmen had to decide whether to stick it out with their high-school sweetheart, or succumb to what is known as the “Turkey Drop” — the phenomenon of high-school couples breaking up when they come home for their first Thanksgiving.
