In its latest effort to regulate what hundreds of millions of Chinese people watch on television every night, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television (SAPPRFT) has announced that starting Jan 1, 2015, all drama TV series would be allowed to be shown on a maximum of two satellite stations during prime time hours every evening. The SARFT also said that no more than two episodes of each TV series would be shown per evening.
