On April 24, 2013, a *garment factory in Rana Plaza, Bangladesh, collapsed, leaving more than 1,100 dead, more than 2,500 injured, and more than 800 children *orphaned. Many of the workers were making inexpensive clothes for major US and European brands like Benetton and Wal-Mart.
