YOU must be familiar with Newton’s law of universal gravitation (万有引力). But at my school’s sports meeting last summer, a student seemed to have broken the law! In the high jump, he jumped so high that his whole body flew over the crossbar. The referee decided that he was the high jump champion. His excellent skills and strong figure enabled him to escape from Earth’s gravity for a little while. The students around him all applauded.
