PEOPLE in Asia have been put on alert (处于戒备状态). By June 11, 122 people in the Republic of Korea (ROK) had been confirmed as having Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS, 中东呼吸综合征) – the largest outbreak outside of the Middle East, the region that gave the virus its name. |  |
