Unlike those who are entitled to unemployment insurance because they have paid for social insurance for at least one year, graduates don’t have such a safety net. However, college graduates from impoverished families who haven’t been able to find a job at the end of the year are qualified to apply for unemployment relief at the local human resources or social relief department. The qualification is valid for 12 months.
