THE festival of Halloween is almost here, and a pumpkin weighing 1,969 pounds (893kg) has been grown to celebrate. The Associated Press reported that the huge pumpkin, grown by Steve Daletas of Pleasant Hill, Oregon, US, was shown at the Safeway World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in San Francisco, US on Oct 12. |  |
