A NEW use for 3-D printing is here, and it could be the most helpful yet: giving birds new beaks (喙). This was shown recently when a team of veterinarians and 3-D printing specialists in Brazil successfully gave an injured macaw (金刚鹦鹉) parrot a titanium (钛) beak.
