TUESDAY night was a big moment for Chinese soccer. On March 29, China beat Qatar with 2-0 in the Asian qualifiers (预选赛) for the 2018 World Cup in Xi’an. This means China will be in the final qualifying round of the 2018 World Cup for the first time in 15 years. The last time China did this was in 2001. China will compete against 11 other Asian teams in hopes of entering the final round of the World Cup. The midfield player Huang Bowen made the first point and helped a lot.
