YAO Ming will become the first Chinese basketball player to be elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for his role in helping to spread the NBA’s popularity to China. During his nine-year NBA career, the 35-year-old scored an average of 19 points and 9.2 rebounds (篮板球) per game, and he was also selected for the All-Star team eight times.
